Hello, thanks to the over 2800 individuals who signed the Candidate Petitions to get me on the ballot! I learned so much from talking to many of you about your hopes, frustrations, financial difficulties, and your dream for a better America!

Here is what I heard from many of you:

  • Most of you felt the middle class is collapsing
  • Many of you expressed lack of trust in politics and politicians
  • When asked why, most of you stated that corporate money and lack of compromise had corrupted the system
  • You further said Congress spends more time raising money than governing because the Candidate with the most money wins most of the time
  • Most of you said you have little trust in big banks or big corporations
  • When asked, most of you agreed the votes are determined more by the wishes of a candidate's large donors than by the wishes of the people
  • When asked, you expressed distrust in the media and a weariness and disgust with the "horse race coverage" of political races.

I've paid taxes in St. Lucie for 7 years and lived in St. Lucie for 3 years. St. Lucie is the most diverse county in the new Congressional District 18 (St. Lucie, Martin, and North Palm Beach) and I love its diversity and preserved nature. I am here to stay, and elected or not will do all I can to help this area become a "True Treasure Coast." I will serve everyone and fight to preserve and grow jobs.

If you want a Democrat "carpetbagger" and former Republican resident of Miami Beach who just last month moved to Jupiter, vote for 29 year old Patrick Murphy. He was born in a rich Republican family and he funded Mitt Romney with $3500 four years ago. Exactly what you would expect from a CPA who worked for Fortune 500 companies. He has raised about $1.8 million but has spent more than 40% of that already.

On the Republican side we have "duffelbagger" congressman Allen West living in Plantation (of "All Democrats need to get the hell out of the United States of America" and "there are 79-81 communists in Congress" fame). He has amassed $7.7 million (much of it from defense contractors) and already spent $4.4 million. He is ready to lead us into another war, regardless of the blood or treasure lost.
